SKUNK MONEY

A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT GOOD INTENTIONS AND GREAT BARRIERS IN THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY

Premieres Fall 2018  |  Super 35 Cinema 4K

Nonprofits fill a gap in our society which the government cannot reach and the free market doesn’t care to. The industry is chronically underfunded and overworked. The sector is operating in a scarcity environment despite an abundance of resources just out of reach. Colorado’s burgeoning marijuana market has come to be a powerhouse in the state’s GDP. With profits over a billion dollars last year, industry leaders are looking to give back to the local community and seek relief from high taxation, but they have limited means by which to do so.

Through compelling cinematography and the stories of industry experts, this documentary short will explore the complex laws and cultural prejudice making it difficult for the cannabis industry to support nonprofits, the federal influence on this local relationship, and its effect on our state’s economy.
